When to visit


Most visitors arrive Oct–Mar when the weather is warm and sunny. Due to Kaohsiung’s tropical climate, spring and summer (May–Sep) are hot, rainy and humid. Typhoons are possible Jun–Oct. Local events include the Kaohsiung Lantern Festival (Feb/Mar).
